Completed Bids, in sealed envelopes, clearly marked TENDER 36/2024: CONSTRUCTION TENDER: PIPE REPLACEMENT USING CONVENTIONAL AND TRENCHLESS METHODS, (RATES BASED), FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS, should be placed in the tender box, at the Langeberg Municipal Office, 28 Main Road, Ashton, not later than 12:00 on 15 NOVEMBER 2024 when the Bids will be opened in public. Late, faxed or e-mailed tenders will not be considered.
NOTICE PUBLISHED ON 08 NOV 2024: The Langeberg Municipality wishes to inform all prospective bidders, who attended the compulsory clarifications meeting held on 25 October 2024 that the closing date for this tender has been amended to 12:00, 29 November 2024. All other particulars pertaining to the closing remain unchanged.
Tenderers must be registered with the CIDB in a class of construction works and have a grading designation equal to or higher than that determined in accordance with the sum tendered or a value determined in accordance with regulation 25 (7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, 2004. It is estimated that tenderers will need a grading designation of CIDB – 6CE or Higher,
COMPULSORY CLARIFICATION MEETING:
A COMPULSORY CLARIFICATION MEETING WILL BE HELD ON THE 25 OCTOBER 2024 AT - 10H00, AT THE ROBERTSON MUNICIPAL OFFICES, TOWN HALL, 52 CHURCH STREET, ROBERTSON. NO LATE COMERS WILL BE ADMITTED AFTER 10H05.
In order to be considered for a contract in terms of this tender, tenderers must achieve the minimum score for functionality.
For Panel 1 a Maximum of 120 points can be achieved.
For Panel 2: a Maximum of 80 points can be achieved.
For Panel 3: a Maximum of 40 points can be achieved.
The minimum score for functionality is 70 points which is equivalent to 84 out of 120 for Panel 1, 56 out of 80 for Panel 2, and 28 out of 40 for Panel 3. Tenderers will also be required to fulfil the minimum requirements for each construction method, specified in the tables applicable to the respective panel. Tenders that fail to achieve the minimum score for functionality will be declared as non-responsive.
PLEASE NOTE:
The official Bid document must be fully completed in black ink, all pages must be returned and the document should preferably be stapled or bound. Supporting documents must be submitted separately and must be stapled or bound. The lowest, or any tender, will not necessarily be accepted and council reserves the right to accept any tender. Tenders will be evaluated according to the Council’s Supply Chain Management Policy and the 80/20 Preference Point system.
